16 Low-noise, High-precision Mic Preamps
Sixteen high-performance head amplifiers are of exemplary quality. They
offer low noise, transparent amplification with the widest possible range
of dynamic and condenser microphones which adds up to cleaner, better
sounding mixes. Phantom Power All sixteen mic preamps feature switchable phantom power for condenser
microphones. The phantom power is switchable to three groups of 8 channels.
Add compressors, EQ, or other signal-processing gear to the mono channels
as required via insert I/O patch points.
Fourteen Buses (Stereo and Group)
The MG24/14 features four stereo group buses, two internal effects sends
and six auxiliary buses, in addition to the main stereo and mono buses.
3-band Channel EQ & HPF
Smooth, "musical-response" 3-band equalizers on all mono input
channels. ±15dB LF (100Hz) shelving, HF (10kHz) shelving and Mid sweep
(250Hz-5kHz). All mono microphone input channels also feature a switchable
80Hz high-pass filter that can be used to cut out unwanted low-frequency noise.
Stereo inputs feature 4-band equalisers.
Six Aux Sends & Stereo Aux Return
Each input channel has six auxiliary sends – two post-fader effects
sends and four
switchable for pre or post-fader operation – affording plenty of
flexibility for external signal processing and monitoring. Plus two aux
buses routed directly to two internal SPX digital effects processors.
Internal effects include reverbs, echos, tap delay, chorus, flange,
etc. A stereo
auxiliary return is also provided.
Other Features: Illuminated Switches
Illuminated ON (ST buss assign), PFL (Pre-Fader Listen), and phantom-power
switches provide easy visual confirmation of critical console settings.
