Entertainment Venues
Under the Environmental Health act entertainment licences can be at risk if a Local Authority decides excessive noise from entertainment venues is a nuisance.
But what happens in an entertainment venue when a live band or mobile disco is using their own equipment?
It is still the responsibility of the venue manager to ensure that the regulations are adhered to.
The permitted level of noise in any venue is determined by the local environmental health officer (EHO). The sensitivity of the Audioblock can be set-up in accordance with any of these regulations.
If the permitted levels are exceeded in any venue where an Audioblock is installed and the warnings ignored, the offending equipment will be temporarily disconnected from mains power.

Industrial Application
The Audioblock can be helpful with regard to legislation concerning Noise in the Workplace. One or more units can be used as display units indicating sound pressure levels or to switch on warning lamps or illuminated signs to advise the need to wear ear defenders, when the safe noise level is exceeded.

Main Features:

• Environmental Noise Limiter for venues with mobile guest sound systems. You determine the maximum level! As soon as the maximum level has been exceeded, the warning lamp will start flashing. From then on, the DJ has got 30 sec. (Standard but adjustable between 5 and 90 sec.) to play less loud. If not, the main power will be disconnected for standard 30 sec. (Also adjustable between 5 and 90 sec.)
• The decibel level is measured through the included sabotage proof microphone. This microphone can be calibrated regarding the location in the venue. The central unit is tamperproof through numbered seals.
• As soon as the microphone is unplugged, the main power will be disconnected until the microphone is plugged-in again!
• In other words: a very effective and easy to install system!
• PACKAGE CONTAINS: Calibrated central unit, 230V AC warning lamp, microphone and pink-noise CD to calibrate the system, ready for installation by a qualified electrical contractor.
